i love winter for 2 reasons: snow and the fabulous clothes. winter wardrobes are perhaps my fave. unfortunately i live in a place where anything above 40 degrees celsius is considered “chilly” so i do not get to indulge in the joys of winter clothing as much as i would like.
i came across these images of leighton meester as blair waldorf on everyone’s favorite tv show and i instantly had hearts in my eyes.
i’m beginning to think eric daman can do no wrong….almost.
blair waldorf counters the biting cold of nyc with style and panache. both of these outfits are to die for. and that accessorizing? perfection.
left: blair looks pristine in this creme diane von furstenburg mikhaila trench coat. the belted coat has wide lapels and falls perfectly at leighton’s knees. it is paired up with a matching creme scarf and fascinator. this is such an amazing color on leighton, she looks all sorts of amazing. the customary pop of color is there in the form on a bright orange loewe bag. floral tights and very ladylike badgley mischka satin pumps with black piping complete the ensemble. this look is so sophisticated and feminine with tons of personality. it is the epitome of park avenue princess.
right: the colors in this outfit called out to me. they scream winter in the chicest way possible. gray, mustard and maroon blend together flawlessly to create a look which is fun and cozy. the gray cape is expertly paired with a mustard pussybow blouse and boucle skirt. a matching beret and fendi peekaboo bag finish off the outfit. i am absolutely obsessing over the headgear. it is so parisian non? something very chic about the whole thing. fishnet tights and maroon mary janes are the finishing touches.
two looks done so well. they are both so different yet work so well.
sidenote – who else is super glad that blair’s hair finally looks human?
