Despite living in the UAE for a while now, I have never ventured out to the smaller Emirates of Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah or Al Ain. So when my parents were visiting last week, I thought what better way to enjoy the pristine beaches of the smaller, quieter Emirates than with their company.
We chose to spend a couple of nights over the long weekend at the Cove Rotana in Ras Al Khaimah, a resort I had heard much about.
The hotel itself is absolutely gorgeous, designed almost in the style of a Greek village with rooms and villas scattered across a large property. The weather is an absolute dream in the UAE during this time, so a lot of time was spent exploring the property and chilling on the beach – which was almost deserted (another plus!). I’m hoping to visit again this winter and experience a massage on the beach during my next trip.
Being the foodie that I am, my favourite part of the stay was the dessert station at Cinnamon. The pistachio cakes and creme caramel were to die for – divine when enjoyed with a latte on the restaurant terrace. The crepe and waffle station at breakfast was another plus.
Here is a little glimpse into the hotel:
