royal wedding: lalla salma of morocco

i’ve never heard of/seen princess lalla salma of morocco before the wedding. she was one of the few guests at kate and wills’ bash wearing the traditional clothes of her native country.

doesn’t she look lovely? i love the pale pink and golden kaftan with an embellished gold belt. a row of dainty buttons starts at the neck and trails down to the hemline – everything about this look is regal in an understated way. she carries a matching clutch and what seems like traditional vintage jewels.

the hair is a dream – it is the perfect color and style for this dress. this is one of the most interesting looks of the day for me.

Most of their dresses are made in house! They have a royal Taylor and all he or she does is make caftans! Most Moroccan caftans in general are custom made, you pick the fabric and details and someone makes it for you! Even more so with the royals!
I don’t see Queen Elizabeth’s clothes being sold at Mark & Spencer either, why would royals with more intricate national costumes be any different!
Great article though, it’s crazy how the paleness of her skin kinda compliments the pale pink and gold tones, maybe it’s the hair!
