Ladies, you only have about 2 weeks to get your Eid outfits sorted. Every year, Eid collections seem to get bigger and more extravagant. Every designer, no matter how big or small, is releasing a capsule collection for the holiday. And some of them are glam enough to rival bridal trousseaus.
I’ve trawled through most of the collections (although I probably will not be dressing up for Eid, I like to know what’s out there), and picked out some ensembles which really caught my eye.
These are my picks for the more glamorous, high-end luxury pieces. I will be adding to this list if I come across more outfits that I love (if you seen any, drop me a line) and also doing a high street version later in the week.
Misha Lakhani is a minimalist, contemporary fashion lover’s dream – and her Eid designs show us why. Little to no embellishment, cool colours and modern silhouettes make for a fuss-free yet statement making collection that is probably the most unique this season.
It’s no secret that Élan’s designs send the best of us into a crazed frenzy, and their Eid offering is no different. Sticking to the neutral palette she does so well, Khadija Shah brings us Le Jardin Exotique, a collection of gorgeous, heavily beaded pieces that are honestly good enough to be worn at weddings, not just Eid. The collection launches on June 24th.
I’m saving the best for last. Sania Maskatiya’s Eid collection is absolutely exquisite, with yards of organza and intricate embellishments in contemporary shapes. The pieces are on the pricier side, starting at Rs 29,000 (USD 278) and going up to Rs 54,000/- (USD 516). You can see the collection on the brand’s website, here.
