Jennifer Lawrence is one of my favorite young actresses – she is beautiful, talented and super likeable. She’s had quite a few memorable fashion moments in the last couple of years – unfortunately her promo tour for Catching Fire was not one of them. The second installment in the Hunger Games trilogy was one of the most anticipated films of the year, so it really is a shame that J-Law did not live up to expectations in the fashion-arena.
Out of all her looks, there were only 2 that caught my eye. Come to think of it, her looks for the first Hunger Games film were also quite lacklustre, just not as much as this time around.
Jennifer went for dark and vampy for the Parisian premiere of the film. Opting for a sexy black frock from the Fall 2013 Dior collection, she oozed sex appeal. I am a big fan of a bold lip, so the makeup is my favorite part of this entire look. I love it when actresses mix it up. This vixen look is unexpected from Jennifer and it totally works. The dress itself has a lot of elements which are difficult to pull off – but I think she does a fab job. Pointed Louboutins and a diamond ear cuff finish off this look.
From dark and vampy to light and romantic – Jennifer took the opposite route at the Rome premiere of the film. Here she wears a beautiful architectural couture gown from Dior. The ivory gown features a high-low hem with ruffled detail and an origami like fold on the bodice. Strappy gold heels and a swept back pixie complete this ethereal look.
