promo tour: elizabeth banks – “hunger games”

March 24, 2012

jennifer lawrence might be the star of the movie, but elizabeth banks was definitely the star of the red carpet for hunger games.  while jennifer stuck mainly to golds and darker shades, elizabeth brought her a-game with citrus colored dresses and stunning embellishments.

:: world premiere ::

elizabeth banks stood out from the crowd in her bright orange atelier versace dress.i am obsessing over this dress. the tangerine color is amazing against her coloring. i love that she let the dress do the talking by keeping her makeup neutral and not adding any accessories. her asymmetrical, sequined dress begs to be the center of attention. i do think her hair should have been slicked back and she should have stuck to the runway shoes, but nonetheless, a great choice.

:: london premiere ::

wow.

i just love it when a yellow dress is done so well. for the london premiere elizabeth chose the most beautiful lemon bill blass spring 2012 column dress with a plunging back. what a gorgeous gorgeous dress. her slightly loose updo is very flattering, but i am let down in the makeup department. she looks reddish, does she not? and i am seriously drooling over her matching judith leiber clutch.

:: paris premiere ::

she is on a roll. elizabeth banks needs to give her stylist a raise, a maj one. for the paris premiere she wore a quirky marc jacobs fall 2012 sequined dress with floral appliques on the neckline. just LOOK at that waist. . . perfection. a chic pompadour updo completes this sleek look. i’m on the fence about the shoes…all she needs to do is amp up her shoe game and she will be unstoppable. and her makeup game too.

:: berlin premiere ::

and then we have saab.

at the berlin premiere elizabeth pulled out all the stops with a stunning burnt orange elie saab spring 2012 gown.  now this is a knockout movie star look. her stunning dress has a sheer overlay with intricate sequined embroidery. glamorous waves and neutral makeup completes the look.
