bollywood needs to step up its game, seriously.
out of all the stars at the premiere there were only 1 which made me nod and say ‘yes, you look extraordinary’
shraddha has been on my radar for a while now, being one of the most stylish newbies in the industry. she looked downtown chic in this colorblocked, pleated dkny dress. the strappy black stilettos work well, but how fabulous would it have been if she opted for some orange or fuchsia sandals? the hair could use an improvement, but she looks beautiful nonetheless
:: hrithik and suzanne ::
suzanne roshan looks pretty and age-appropriate in this ecru frock which she pairs up with a matching clutch and contrasting metallic peeptoes. her hair isn’t horrendous for a change, so that’s a plus. hrithik looks like his usual greek god self, just a little tired in the face. oh well, we all have our down days.
:: ameesha patel ::
can i just say, there are few people in the world who annoy me as much as ameesha patel.
but i haven’t seen her look this cleaned up for a while now. it actually looks like she made an effort. her animal print dress looks good, it just needs to be pulled up a wee bit. no need to shove the ladies in our faces now. actually a good blow dry wouldn’t do any harm either. but i understand, baby steps.
her dress is paired with an oversized nude dior clutch.
:: kangana ranaut ::
everyone’s favorite diva wore a blush pink vivienne westwood number with a polka dot print. if you recall, sonam wore a variation of this dress last year, a much more interesting variation. kangana’s halter version with pockets looks good on her, i love how the hair perfectly compliments the retro vibe of the dress. however those embellished white pumps have the potential to ruin this entire look. ankles up, everything is beautiful.
:: sonakshi sinha ::
madame sinha wore an olive green grecian style dress with an embellished neckline. the dress in itself is not bad, and she has accessorized pretty well with the large cuff and matching clutch. but there are minor glitches which are keeping the look from being fantastic: that horrid nose ring, too bright nails, the length of the dress.
shout out to the ladies who opted for eastern wear
:: amrita rao::
she looks kinda paindo but i still give her props for not wearing a minidress.
:: genelia d’souza ::
i never thought i’d say this, but i’m pretty sure genelia stole the show.
she shines wearing a nisha lulla (neeta’s daugher) lehnga in blinding shades of pink and orange with peacock embroidery and an embellished choli. i would so totally wear this to a dholki, it’s definitely an interesting choice for a movie premiere. but if genelia’s objective was to make a statement, she succeeded.
