I think the most exciting thing on the sinking ship that is American Idol is the fact that we get to see Jennifer Lopez a couple times a week. The original diva has been consistently giving us j’amazing looks since she joined the show and this season it’s no different. Here are a few of my favorite ones from recent weeks.
Can you believe this playsuit is from Kohl’s?! This look is young and playful and J-Lo stays true to her style by piling on the gold bling. The color looks great against her tan and highlighted hair. And those Ivy Kirzhner shoes? Don’t even get me started.
I can’t remember J-Lo wearing red very often but she works the color like no other. I love this poppy red sheath dress with bone piping detail by Lanvin. Nude Louboutins and half up hair finish off this look.
White & Gold – is there anything better? Jen wears a Azzedine Alaia tanktop with a beautiful matching pencil skirt by Milly. Chunky gold bangles and a gorj rope braid give this look a semi-warrior princess feel.
The blogosphere is iffy about this look but I am absolutely loving the funky hairstyle and 80’s vibe of Jen’s Jill Stuart dress. I could do without the harness but she makes it work. My favorite part about this look are those lust-worthy Brian Atwood Abell sandals. J’adore.
J-Lo gives off a more sexy vibe for the American Idol Final 13 party. Her black Cushnie Et Ochs dress has strategically placed cut-outs and my favorite type of halter neck. I really like this length on J-Lo – it is sophisticated and sexy at the same time. I do wish she had chosen a better shoe and a bolder lip.
This is another look where I feel J-Lo looks absolutely stunning. I love love love this look on her. The messy french braid is something new for her and I feel like it’s something she should try more often – she looks like a dream. The mint green dress is by London-based designer SAAFiYA and has mesh cut-outs and cap sleeves. J-Lo continues winning the shoe game with this bejewelled Jimmy Choo Cardinal pumps.
This is probably my favorite J-Lo look of this year. This mustard leather dress is quite reminiscent of Blake Lively’s Gucci dress from Milan Fash Week – which is probably why I like it so much. The color looks fab on J-Lo, and this is a hard color to pull off. Nude pumps, chunky bangles, orange lips and flawless hair complete this look.
To me – no one works a good nude color better than J-Lo. Here she wears a blush-toned ensemble by Dubai based designer Rami Ali. The outfit consists of wide-legged crepe pants and a shimmering top. Tres pretty.
Not many people could have pulled off this highligher pink look but Jenn manages to do it without looking like a moron. This look is risky, but I just love it. A high bouncy ponytail and nude Loubies finish off the look.
What’s your favorite look?
