The peeps over at Sunday Magazine have been consistently blowing me away with their covers since they revamped their look a few months ago. The iconic weekly has moved onto a crisp, modern, fashion forward look by bringing on some fresh design talent. Along with the new look, Sunday has recently launched a website which makes it easier for international readers (like me) to stay in touch with the scene in the motherland.
My favorite cover has to be the main image above, what an absolutely ethereal image. It has everything I love – a gorgeous outfit, great hair and makeup and an otherwise clean background. I also love the addition of new features like #Selfies of the week and Who’s Your Muse.
I had a chance to speak to Shehrbano Taseer, editor of Sunday, about the new look.
“The new cover and feel is just us flexing our muscles and being adventurous. We like to keep changing things up every now and then, and keeping the competition on their toes too. Fashion is fast – one year is like a dog year – there is so much to keep doing and changing and absorbing. Our moods keep changing now and then and that shows in the end product every week- we like to do different layouts and features and work with new talent as well as the old favourites – it is so much more fun that way. Our covers have been designed by the creative and talented Hassan Iqbal Rizvi of 9Lines, who we have a lot of fun working with. Our website has been done by Bramerz, who are a fantastic team. We hope our readers are enjoying the changes!”
