many apologies for being so late with this post. i’m sure by now everyone has read about this premiere and have heard about tommy boy’s adventures in india. but we don’t care about all that, we only care about who was wearing what. so shall we?
:: sonam kapoor ::
sonam kapoor has been giving us some hits and some misses. i find this quite distressing because in her early days she was quite consistent with her sartorial choices and styling…could it be a case of trying to hard to live up to an “icon” status? perhaps. but i think she should go back to not taking it all so seriously because she hardly made a mistake. i think the more important question here is why am i still going on about this?
at the premiere of mission impossible 4 in mumbai, sonam donned an alpana and neeraj creation. i am a bit iffy about this dress. leather dresses are very much the rage and i do enjoy the grecian inspired draping of this, but somehow i feel the two don’t go together. this kind of fall looks better on a softer fabric. but i’m not gonna lie, i love the (faux?) fur shoulder. how can you not love some fur? it is divalicious. now for the good: the brown color is fab and so are the python accessories. neck up sonam is f-l-a-w-l-e-s-s. which is great because sometimes her makeup is quite the disaster. the sleek ponytail is perfect and so are the red lips. gorgeous emerald earrings designed by her mama provide some more color – i don’t think the green was needed, considering she already had the red lips for color. god, i am so confused.
:: the stars ::
ok. so. first of all. tom cruise. seriously? is he seriously wearing jeans to a movie premiere? a premiere of a movie which he stars in. a movie which is perhaps part of one of the biggest movie franchises ever?
he really has lost it.
he looks like a complete idiot standing next to paula p. and anil kapoor dressed to the nines. daddy kapoor looks dapper in his chocolate brown suit with that fabulous head of hair.
paula patton opted for a bright micheal kors spring 2012 gown. such a perfect color for the occasion. her orange dress has a thigh-high slit and gold python lining at the bust, with a matching choker. she wears matching gold peeptoes and a choker (which is part of the gown). i think the color of this dress works beautifully with her skintone. there are few people who can carry off bright orange and girls with caramel skin do it best. the ponytail works with the look, keeping it from being overtly sexy. but what i really want to know is…do people really wear chokers anymore?
and for a premiere of such a huge movie, i was expecting a plethora of well dressed bollywood stars. i’m so disappointed.
