emma watson for the win.

February 14, 2011

emma watson keeps surprising me.

wearing an ethereal valentino 2011 couture creation, she was definitely the show-stopper at the recently held bafta awards in london. the nude gown is embellished with flower appliques and has a pleated skirt.  i love love the shoulder ruffle which seems to have become a sort of trademark of valentino, i love nothing better than a good ruffle.

ok so this is a SLIGHT problem with this look. as beautiful as the dress is, i feel that it is not the MOST flattering on em. she looks kinda bulgy, which is very disturbing for the likes of me. perhaps better posture could have taken this look up a few notches.

as much as i enjoy her pixie cut, i wish she would do something about those sideburns. that is such a pet peeve. it makes me want to pull my eyelashes out. this look sans sideburns would have been perfection.

the more i am writing the more i feel this was a waste of a gorgeous dress.  i’m kind of having a bipolar reaction to this. i love it but then i hate it. emma could have had another major fashion moment with this, but i suppose she was having a down day.
