I know I’m really late with this post, but I was on one of my 3-day blogging hiatus which usually occurs when I am too lazy to lift my fingers to type a word. Oops.
After her somewhat lacklustre bridal appearance 2 weeks ago in NYC, Faryal Makhdoom went the princess route for her valima held in Britain last week. Shall we delve into dissecting the look?
I think we shall
Faryal once again chose Indian courtier Tarun Tahiliani for her bridal ensemble. The pale pink net organza overlay is covered with intricate embroidery and is paired with a choli and lehnga.
I don’t love this dress. The lighter color palette is a welcome change from the deep hues of her wedding day outfit, but the embellishment is where it loses me. I don’t like the white scalloped embroidery on the hem, it reminds me of those cheap little Victorian-era dolls and their dresses.
Faryal and her hairstylist seem to have some sort of animosity between them. Why else would he/she let her step out, time after time, with such atrocious hairdos. Seriously, what IS that? It is the most ridiculous hairstyle ever, although it doesn’t outdo her engagement disaster. I just don’t understand, would a simple chignon or even one not so BIG have killed them?
I don’t know if Naeem Khan is responsible for the makeup again, the contouring is a little toned down but I hate the red lip with the light dress. It is too jarring. And honey, throw out the blue contacts.
Let’s talk about Mr. Tacktastic over here for a second. What is the name of God is Amir Khan wearing??? A paisley jacket??? With a satin shirt and tie??? REALLY???? I can’t even.
Here is how goodlooking this couple actually is
