umm i think i have lost track of what day it is at cannes. seriously, i do crack myself up.
cheryl cole made her appearances today…as always, she gave an interesting look.
at the premiere of habemus papam, cheryl cole wore a white (the most popular color of the festival) stephane rolland couture gown with a plunging neckline and full sleeves. the dress has some interesting draping at the hip and on the skirt.
ok now let’s get down to business.
the accents: what the hell are those gold things on her waist? i can’t decide if they look like pineapples or kidneys – i am sorry, anything that reminds me of an organ is not “edgy”…it’s downright ridic.
the neckline: this dress was made for someone less busty. exhibiting her ladies like that is making cheryl look slutty. this is a couture dress which should look anything BUT slutty. there is fine line between sexiness and tackiness.
the makeup: when you have been long regarded as the nation’s sweetheart, the most lovable face in britain, everyone’s bff etc etc – vampy is really not the way too go. the lipstick is just bad bad bad.
the only thing i think i really like about this look is the hair – a sleek, side parted pony. looks chic and almost redeems the entire look.
for the l’oreal after party in the evening cheryl changed into a roberto cavalli gown with the same sequined texture as diane kruger’s calvin klein. tres interesting.
cheryl’s gown was obviously a lot more dramatic. the boatnecked gown had long sleeves like the day look and a very crazy ruffled fishtail hem. i think without that hem this dress would have been a knockout, it just looks weird.
two looks – two disappointments. i hope she changes her makeup and brings back the beautiful girl we all know and love.
