You all know I LOVE a good Kareena Kapoor sighting – imagine my joy when I had three consecutive ones over this weekend. The begum attended the 2014 IIFA presentations in Tampa Bay, Florida. And amongst a sea of Bollywoodistas, she managed to stand out. I liked all 3 of her red carpet looks for different reasons. Let us commence.
For the IIFA press conference, Kareena took the stage with her husband in a black Anand Kabra shalwar kameez. Her ethnic look consisted of a black chiffon kameez with a colorful floral embroidered cuff and a cream shalwar (sorry! Haven’t been able to find a full-length). The winning piece of this look is that stunner of a necklace by Maheep Kapoor. It just elevates this to another level. A braided ponytail and flawless makeup finishes it off.
For the IIFA Magic of Movies event before the big awards ceremony, Kareena opted for a monochrome Giorgio Armani ensemble from the Fall 2013 collection. The look has an embellished, boxy top paired with a high-waisted black velvet skirt. Velvet is an interesting choice for Spring in Tampa but, hey, it works. I love the sophisticated feel of this look, and it is so different than anything else we would expect to see at a Bollywood event so thumbs up from me. A high-fash topknot and bold orange lippie bring the look together perfectly.
Girrrrrrrl. I literally cannot deal with Bebo here. Chicita had my jaw droppin’ in this super super sexy Giorgio Armani from the same collection as her previous look. The black silk dress has a pleated bodice and a fit n flare skirt. But it is that plunging neckline that screams for attention – there is an illusion panel there that keeps the dress from being too risque. It’s unbelievable how good she looks here. I love the slightly messy hair and slightly smokey eye. so-good. No accessories means the dress does all the talk.
Do you guys love Kareena’s looks as much as I do?
