I know, I know. This is long overdue but I had to share my best dressed ladies of the Golden Globes with you guys. Somehow these 3 looks stood out to me for their simplicity and their ability to shine through in a sea of gowns. Here you are.
Anne Hathaway’s 2009 Chanel Couture gown was nothing out of the ordinary, yet it looks so spectacular. The clean lines with a hint of peplum work perfectly on the skinny minny actress. This look totally proves that less is more. Delicate Chanel fine jewelry and a flawless, simple beauty look are the finishing touches. She looks like she is not even worried about it – it’s like hey, I’m at the Globes, I’m wearing a plain white dress, I’m still gonna top the Best Dressed Lists. Eh.
I absolutely adore Emily Blunt. How can anyone not adore her? The British actress shone on the red carpet in an embroidered gold Michael Kors gown. The dress has cut-outs on the side and back, and it is falling over her figure perfectly. I love the addition of colorful earrings – she manages to look spunky and elegant at the same time.
Kate Hudson stood out in her sleek black Alexander McQueen gown with dramatic gold embellishment and a plunging cutout. The dress is quite vampy, so I like that she left her hair loose and kept the makeup minimum – paying homage to her own laid-back style.
