the glamour women of the year awards were held this weekend in nyc and my oh my were there some fine women in attendance. as expected.
:: jennifer aniston ::
i love jennifer aniston, especially from her days as rachel green. she just seems so likeable. and damn, girl is in enviable shape. jen looked fabulous at the awards wearing a flowy black asymmetrical versace gown. she sticks to her ‘all black’ uniform but i love that the dress isn’t boring, the flowing hem keeps things from being too blah. so does the plunging neckline. trademark beachy waves and strappy celine sandals finish off the look. i love that this girl doesn’t stick to the overdone platform pumps, she always chooses stellar shoes.
:: kerry washington ::
kerry washington continues to be a tour du force with this lemon yellow marchesa gown. how fabulous does she look? my obsession with yellow goes a long way back, so i can’t really fault this look. the flowing strapless gown has crystal embellishment at the waist which gives way to a split and cascades down. nude louboutin peeptoes finish the look. the girl just knows how to pick the perfect colors for her skin. and how about a shoutout to the mucho improved makeup and hair? i’m obsessed. the wavy updo looks fabulous paired with crystal diamond hoops.
:: j-lo ::
uh, how much do we love jennifer lopez? i have been in love with miss thang for as long as i can remember. there is just no substitute for divaliciousness. j-lo looks insanely sexy wearing a fall 2011 atelier versace gown. the light gray dress has a leather flower detail at the neck which continues down one length, an insanely high slit runs down the other. jennifer looks beautiful here. this dress is hugging her curves tremendously, the hairdo is polished and the makeup is just right. i am so in love i can’t even explain it.
:: emma stone ::
hollywood’s newest fashion darling didn’t disappoint. emma stone went the grecian goddess route with this lanvin gown from the resort 2012 collection. love this color against her porcelain skin and hair – i can’t quite put my finger on the shade though, it is somewhere between pea green and golden. whatever it is, it’s working. and at the end of the day that is all that matters. the dress is gorgeous but emma just took it to another level with her absolutely spectacular accessorizing. a multi-chain gold necklace and a matching clutch are both by lanvin and are both to die for. subtle metallic makeup and a wavy updo complete this look. and nude lanvin pumps which aren’t visible in this picture.
